By accessing and using the Era application ("App"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
Era is a social networking application designed to connect travelers worldwide. The App provides features including interactive maps, messaging (one-to-one and group chats), location sharing, friends, AI-powered travel recommendations, journey moments (activities you create or join), optional identity verification, profile view history, reporting and moderation, and the ability to share travel moments. Some features may be limited for unverified users or require a paid subscription.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to use the App to:
- Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
- Harass, stalk, or harm other users
- Share false or misleading information
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate others or submit false or abusive reports
5. Location Services
The App uses location services to provide features such as maps and location sharing. You can control location sharing through your settings. By using location features, you consent to the collection and use of your location data.
6. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of content you post on the App. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the App, to understand our practices.
8. Identity Verification
Verification is optional. If you choose to verify, you may be asked to submit a selfie that we compare with your profile photo for identity checks. We may use a third-party face-matching service for this purpose. We reserve the right to revoke verified status (e.g. if you change your profile photo, or for abuse or policy violations). Use of verification is subject to our Privacy Policy.
9. Reporting and Moderation
You may report other users or content that you believe violates these Terms. We may store your report (including any description or evidence you provide) for moderation and safety. We reserve the right to remove content, warn users, suspend or permanently block accounts, and take other actions we deem necessary. Admin decisions are final. We may retain report and block data for safety and legal reasons even after account termination.
10. Subscription Services
Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription terms, pricing, and renewal policies are available in the App. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
